STARS Staking: Step-by-Step Guide
Stargaze is a decentralized NFT platform built on Cosmos, with its native token, STARS. Staking STARS helps to secure the network while earning rewards.
Step 1: Installing and Setting Up Keplr Wallet
Installing the Keplr extension:
Visit the official Keplr Wallet website.
Click “Install Keplr” and follow the instructions to add the extension to Chrome.
Creating a new wallet or importing an existing one:
After installation, click on the Keplr icon in your browser.
Select “Create new account” to create a wallet, or “Import existing account” to restore one using a mnemonic phrase.
Save your mnemonic phrase in a safe place and never share it with anyone.
Adding the Stargaze network to Keplr:
Keplr supports Stargaze by default.
If it doesn’t appear, go to the official Stargaze website and click “Connect Wallet”. Keplr will automatically prompt you to add the network.
For a more detailed Keplr setup guide, see [this article].
Step 2: Funding Your STARS Balance
2.1. Getting your Stargaze address
Open Keplr by clicking its extension icon.
In the search box, type “Stars”.
Copy your Stargaze wallet address (it starts with “stars1…”).
You can copy it by clicking the address or pressing the Copy button.

2.2. Adding funds
Send STARS tokens to your Stargaze wallet address.
You can buy STARS on exchanges such as Osmosis, MEXC, or KuCoin, then withdraw to your Stargaze address.
⚠️ Make sure you select the correct transfer network: Cosmos SDK (Stargaze) and not ERC-20 (Ethereum) or another chain.
After the transfer, wait a few minutes for the transaction to confirm on the blockchain.
Step 3: Delegating STARS to the Validator Life and Crypto
3.1. Accessing the staking section
Open Keplr and go to the Staked tab → Dashboard.

Search for Stargaze and select it.

In the validator list, find Life and Crypto (you can use the search bar).

3.2. Delegating tokens
In the validator info window, you’ll see:
Network name
Validator commission
Voting power
Unbonding period (unstaking time)

If you’re satisfied with the terms, click Stake.
Enter the amount of STARS you want to delegate and confirm by clicking Stake again.

A confirmation message will appear in the top-right corner of your browser.

3.3. Claiming rewards
In the Dashboard → Staking section, you’ll see which network you are staking on and which validator you’ve chosen.
After some time, you can claim your rewards by clicking Claim.

Step 4: How to Unstake STARS
To withdraw tokens from staking:
Go to Dashboard → Staking → Select Validator.
Click Unstake.

Read the warning about the unbonding period.
Enter the amount you wish to unstake and confirm by clicking Unstake.

⚠️ The unbonding process in the Stargaze network takes 14 days.
Conclusion
The Life and Crypto team thanks everyone for their support. Delegate your STARS tokens to our validator and be part of the community!
